Capella's CEO, Stephen Shank, is a Liar!
Student Loan Xpress Remains at Top of Capella's Lists!
(Last Updated June 5, 2007)
Nearly two months after the New York Times (April 14, 2007) broke the story about the Capella University Kickback Scandal and Capella University's sleazy CEO, liar, and shyster Extraordinaire, Stephen Shank, told Minnesota's Pioneer Press that:
"We take the issue raised by the New York Attorney General seriously and remain committed to the highest standards of quality and integrity. . . "
In light of the fact that Student Loan Xpress remains at the TOP of Capella's "Recommended Lender Lists," it is now painfully obvious that Stephen Shank, Capella's CEO has no intention, whatsoever, of being "committed to the highest standards of quality and integrity." For example, Shank has refused to remove (or move) Student Loan Xpress from the top of his "Recommended Lender Lists" which he has allowed to continue despite the fact that the New York Times reported:
"A top executive of a student loan company asked Capella University to re-order its list of recommended lenders, according to documents being reviewed by Senate officials who are examining the relationship between the loan company and the academic institution. . . "
For Stephen Shank to IGNORE all sense of decency and ethical behavior displays that he is, like so many of the other jerks and liars he employs, an unethical shyster who is more concerned about making even more millions for himself than for abiding by any sense of decency. We can't help but wonder if Shank is also receiving kickbacks - heck, he refuses to reorder his lists!
The following are screen captures of "Capella's Recommended Lender Lists" taken on June 5, 2007:

Note placement of Student Loan Xpress! Right at the very top of
the list!

Note placement of Student Loan Xpress! Again, right at the very
top of the list!
